Two free browser audio tools — a copyright-free music library and a 300-preset SFX synth — and the fastest ways to get their output into your visualizer.
Before you start
Novus ships two free audio resources: a copyright-free music library and a browser-based sound-effects synthesizer. Both run entirely on your device, require no account, and produce files you download and keep.
The Audio Library is a catalogue of 26 copyright-free tracks across eight genres (Electronic, Ambient, Hip-Hop, Cinematic, Lo-Fi, Jazz, Rock, Classical), plus 40 ready-made sound effects. Search by title, genre or BPM — typing "140" surfaces every 140 BPM track — and filter by genre pills and a tempo slider. Each track pairs with a hand-picked engine, so clicking Use in Editor opens the editor with the song and its matching engine already loaded.
Filter by BPM first
BPM matters more than genre for visualizers — a 140 BPM track drives beat-reactive effects far harder than a 65 BPM ambient piece. The paired engine is just a starting point; switch to any engine once you are in the editor and the audio stays loaded.
When a stock sound is close but not right, the Audio Effects Generator is a live synthesizer with 300+ presets across 17 categories (Risers & Sweeps, Drops & Impacts, FX & Glitch, Cinematic Hits, UI Sounds and more). Click a preset to load it into the Sound Designer, which exposes real synthesis controls — Oscillator, Envelope (ADSR), Filter, LFO, Effects and Volume — with a live waveform display. There is even an AI Generate box: type "dark ominous bass drop" and it builds parameters from your keywords, all processed locally.
The Sound Designer's Export Quality picker offers Standard (44kHz/16-bit), High Quality (48kHz/24-bit) and Studio (96kHz/24-bit), and a Loops (Extend) slider repeats the sound up to eight times. Choose High Quality (48kHz) to match video-industry standards. Two fast routes into a visualizer: Use in Editor on any library track, or Copy to Editor in the Sound Designer to load your current SFX as the editor's audio source.
Licensing
Library tracks are royalty-free and cleared for commercial use; sounds you build in the SFX generator are synthesized on your own device, so they are yours to use. As always, you own every visualizer you create — no account, watermark or fee.
