Acoustic Lens 3D simulates optical elements through which audio-frequency light rays travel and are bent. In lens mode the rays converge to a focal point whose position pulsates with bass. Prism mode splits rays into spectral fans. Mirror reflects them in changing angles. Scatter creates caustic light patterns. Waveguide channels rays through a curved optical fiber.
Key Features
Parameters
| Parameter | Description | Range / Options |
|---|---|---|
| 3D Mode | lens / prism / mirror / diffuse / scatter / waveguide | Select |
| Ray Count | Number of light rays traced | 5–50 |
| Refractive Index | Bending strength of the optical element | 1.0–3.0 |
Tips & Best Practices
- 1
prism mode with 30+ rays creates a full rainbow dispersion effect.
- 2
waveguide with Refractive Index 2.5 creates tightly curved neon tubes.
Export Performance
Three.js WebGL. Ray Count is the performance variable — keep under 40 for 60fps export.
