Crystal Matrix

Hexagonal cell grid where each cell maps to a frequency band and pulses to beat

2D CanvasMediumBest for: Electronic, techno, futuristic visuals

Crystal Matrix divides the canvas into a tessellated hexagonal grid. Each cell is tuned to a frequency band so the visualizer displays a spatial map of the audio spectrum. In hex mode cells fill with color proportional to band energy; pulse adds a radial size oscillation; ripple propagates a radial sine wave from the canvas centre; rain streams energy downward per column; bloom brightens cells closest to the centre; prism draws inner triangles for gem-like refraction.

Tips & Best Practices

  1. 1

Smaller cell sizes (10-16px) reveal more spectral detail but are heavier to render.

  2. 2

Prism mode at a medium cell size creates a jewel-like aesthetic suited to luxury brands.

  3. 3

Rain mode makes a satisfying music-meter wall display for stream overlays.

Export Performance

2D engine — very small cell sizes can slow rendering. Cell Size 20-30 is the recommended export range.
