Hologram

Scanlines, glitch smearing, RGB offset, and perspective grid overlays driven by audio

2D CanvasEasyBest for: Sci-fi, cyberpunk, DJ streams

Hologram overlays classic sci-fi holographic effects over a live waveform. Scan mode shows a moving bright scan bar that sweeps the canvas. Glitch mode randomly displaces horizontal slices when a beat hits. Grid mode renders a receding perspective grid à la 80s sci-fi title sequences. Flicker mode randomly blacks out vertical bands. Data mode fills columns with frequency-proportional bars like a data terminal. Ghost mode renders semi-transparent mirrored waveforms.

Tips & Best Practices

  1. 1

Glitch mode with high Transient Emphasis creates jarring visual hits on snares and kicks.

  2. 2

Grid mode combined with a Spectrum layer makes a classic retro-future composition.

  3. 3

Ghost mode is subtle enough to use as a background behind text overlays.

Export Performance

2D engine — the vignette overlay is baked in and softens the edges automatically. Hologram Color should be a saturated teal or green for maximum legibility.
